About us

We lived the problem on the floor.

DeepBrief started in the gap between how much clinicians practice and how little of it anyone ever sees.

We are physicians and engineers who spent years inside emergency departments, ambulances and simulation centres. We watched the same thing happen everywhere: a team runs a case, the debrief depends on whoever happens to be in the room, and the performance itself — the timing, the sequence, the communication — disappears the moment the session ends. Trainees get feedback that is generous or harsh depending on the day. Institutions get a binder of scores that tells them almost nothing about who is actually ready.

We built DeepBrief to close that gap. A phone on a tripod is enough: the platform captures the practice, analyses it against the institution's own protocols and rubrics, and returns a structured, objective performance report in minutes. Every trainee gets expert-level feedback on every practice, and for the first time the institution can see the whole picture — who is ready, where the gaps are, and what to teach next.

The team

Clinical practice, machine learning and product — built by the people who need the answer themselves.

Co-founder & CEO

Dr. Eldar Azar, MD, MBA

An emergency medicine expert with deep experience in clinical simulation and medical education. Alongside his clinical career he has held management roles and holds an MBA in innovation and entrepreneurship. His contribution to DeepBrief is knowing what healthcare organisations actually need, and turning that into a product clinicians will use.

Co-founder & CTO

Dr. Yoad Cohen

Co-founder and CTO. Yoad leads the technology behind DeepBrief — the analysis engine that turns a recorded clinical case into a timed, criterion-level record of what the team actually did, and the infrastructure that lets hospitals run real footage through it.

Product Manager

Ortal Battan Drei

Turns clinical protocols into a product educators can actually run. Ortal works with simulation centres and training directors to shape how DeepBrief works day to day — from the first recording to the report a department reviews at the end of a rotation.

We'll run a session from your own station script and show you the report it produces.
